PH Leads ASEAN Committee in Brasilia

BRASILIA 29 October 2018 – The Philippines hosted the sixth meeting for 2018 of the ASEAN Committee in Brasilia (ACB) at the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia on 10 October 2018.
Led by Ambassador Marichu B. Mauro, the group expressed its sympathies to Indonesia on account of the successive disasters in Lombok and Sulawesi provinces, and to Vietnam for the untimely demise of President Tran Dai Quang. The ASEAN Day Celebration hosted by the Philippines on 27 September 2018 was also discussed.
This was the third ACB meeting convened under the chairmanship of Ambassador Mauro.
After the meeting, lunch featuring the Spanish influence on Philippine cuisine was served to the committee at the official residence, with paella taking center stage as the main dish of the day. END
