PH Consul General Attends 69th National Day of China, 40th Anniversary of China’s Reform

XIAMEN 01 October 2018 — The Fujian Provincial People’s Government held a reception in commemoration of the 69th Founding Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the 40th Anniversary of China’s Reform and Opening-Up on 28 September 2018 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Fuzhou City.
Fujian Vice Governor Li De Jin warmly welcomed the representatives of foreign diplomatic and consular missions in Fujian, China which include Philippine Consul General to Xiamen Julius Caesar A. Flores, as well as high ranking government officials and distinguished guests during the reception.
In his remarks, Vice Governor Li highlighted the accomplishments of Fujian’s economic and social development and expressed optimism on its continued growth and success in the future.
On behalf of the Fujian Consular Corps, Consul General Flores expressed warm felicitations on China’s milestone, and delivered a message underscoring the importance of nurturing relations between the Southeast Asia countries along the Maritime Silk Road and China.
The Consul General expressed assurances that Southeast Asian countries will continue to cooperate and work closely with the Fujian government to deepen friendship and further strengthen relations, as well as increase people-to-people exchanges.
On the sidelines of the reception, a photo exhibition was launched highlighting the milestone and accomplishments of Fujian’s International Exchanges in 40 years of Reform and Opening-up. END
