PH, French Electronics Industry Reps Ink Cooperation Agreement

PARIS 05 November 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Paris, in coordination with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Paris (PTIC-Paris), organized a pioneering business mission to France for the semiconductors and electronics industry players of the Philippines. 

Representatives from the Semiconductor & Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation, Inc. (SEIPI), headed by Dr. Dan Lachica, engaged with their French counterparts during the four-day business mission held on 23-27 October 2018.

Representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry-Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) were also part of the business mission.

One of the concrete outcomes of the business mission was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between SEIPI and the Angers French Tech (AFT), represented respectively by Dr. Lachica and Mr. Michel Perrinet on 25 October 2018.

The MOU intends to establish a long-term collaborative relationship in the fields of digital, electronics and internet-of-things (IoT) in the parties’ respective ecosystems.
