Maria Angela A. Ponce, Legal Adviser of the Philippine Mission to the United Nations (UN) in New York, has commenced her work as Vice-Chairperson of the UN General Assembly’s Legal Committee on 09 October 2018.

The Committee is the primary forum for the consideration of legal questions of the UN General Assembly.

Minister Ponce recently chaired the Committee’s debates on measures to eliminate international terrorism and on the rule of law at the national and international levels.
