PH Economy Highlighted in 1st South East Asia Forum

TEL AVIV 12 November 2018 – To attract foreign businesses to invest in the country, the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv participated in the 1st South East Asia Forum (Direction – South East Asia) organized by the Society for International Development (SID) – Israel with around 50 Israeli businessmen present on 31 October 2018.
Ambassador to Israel, Neal B. Imperial presented an overview of the Philippines, the country’s business climate and strengths which make the Philippine economy attractive to foreign investors.
“The Philippine economy has remained strong and stable in the last eight years maintaining an average growth rate of more than 6 percent,” emphasized Ambassador Imperial and impressed the audience with the resilient economic growth of the country.
“The current administration’s initiatives to improve the country’s infrastructure through the Build, Build, Build Program is expected to improve mobility, connectivity and accessibility of Philippine products and services,” he added when discussing opportunities for Israeli businessmen and investors.
A business-to-business (B2B) meeting ensued after the forum attended by the Embassy’s Third Secretary and Vice Consul Judy Razon and Economic Assistant Delano Munar.
SID-Israel is an umbrella organization of 114 companies, civil society organizations, academic institutions and departments whose main purpose is humanitarian aid and international development. The event was co-organized by the Ernst & Young Israel, Herzog, Fox and Neeman Law Office, Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce, Manufacturers’ Association of Israel and the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce.
