Centennial of PH Cinema Celebrated in Bangkok

PHOTO: Ambassador to Thailand Mary Jo A. Bernardo-Aragon, in collaboration with the River City Bangkok (RCB) Film Club, celebrated 100 years of Philippine Cinema by hosting the free screening of Philippine indie film “The Bit Player (Ekstra)” at the River City Bangkok Forum Theatre at RCB Shopping Mall, Bangkok’s “Anchor of Arts and Antiques” on 29 September 2018.

The film starred renowned “star for all seasons” and now politician Vilma Santos and directed by Jeffrey Jeturian, who flew in to Bangkok to grace the screening of his film. The event was well-attended by members of the Filipino Community, members of the diplomatic corps, and Thai movie-going public. (Bangkok PE photos)
