Consular Mission, Parol Making Workshop in Baku

The Embassy, already in its fifth edition of the annual Parol Festival in Turkey, brought the parol-making workshop to Baku for the first time. This is the penultimate activity prior to the festival.

The Filipino Community in Baku designed and created parols of various colors, showcasing their creativity, ingenuity and spirit of unity. The participants used materials sourced from the Philippines such as bamboo sticks and pegs, and papel de japon or washi paper of various colors.

Participants welcomed the activity and said that the workshop was an appropriate way to welcome the Christmas season for Filipinos in Baku. (Ankara PE photos)
