PHOTO: To further strengthen the ASEAN bond in Chile, the ASEAN Committee in Santiago (ACS) composed of the embassies of the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam competed in a friendly bowling tournament on 18 October at the Aventura Center in Florida Mall, Vespucio, Santiago.

Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., Marcos A.S. Punsalang, won the Heads of Post Individual Category, while Consul Dennis John Briones and Philippine Embassy local hire, Ms. Viviana Pernia, similarly brought home major prizes in the Male and Female Individual Categories.

The event also served as an afternoon of camaraderie for officers, staff and members of their families, while at the same time continuing to strengthen their bond as one ASEAN family in Chile.

The successful event was organized by the Vietnamese Embassy, which also serves as the current Chair of the ACS.  Vietnam is due to turn over the chairmanship to Indonesia in November 2018. (Santiago PE photo)
