PH Embassy in Yangon Opens in New Address

PHOTO: NEW HOME. The Philippine Embassy in Yangon held its official opening ceremony at its new address on 11 November 2018. To mark the official transfer of the Embassy, Embassy personnel and the Filipino Community witnessed the hoisting of the Philippine flag and attended the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and blessing of the Chancery.

In her welcome remarks, Charge d’Affaires, a.i. Stephanie Alexis A. Cruz, on behalf of Ambassador Eduardo E. Kapunan Jr., expressed her deep appreciation at the tremendous support of the Filipino Community in Myanmar, and shared that the new Chancery features a bigger consular section and much larger grounds that will enable the Embassy to organize a more diverse variety of events that can accommodate a larger number of Filipinos.
