PH Consul General in Sydney Calls On New South Wales Governor

PHOTO: Consul General in Sydney Maria Teresa L. Taguiang calls on New South Wales Governor David Hurley AC DSC (Ret'd) at the Government House in Sydney, discussing a wide-ranging topics on Philippine-Australian relations.

Consul General Taguiang highlighted the large Filipino Community in New South Wales and the many Filipino organizations that promote values consistent with the Governor’s advocacies.

For his part, Governor Hurley cited the numerous contributions and achievements of Filipinos in various sectors in Australia, and welcomed the increasingly close links between the countries.

The Governor of New South Wales is appointed by the Sovereign and is her representative in New South Wales, and performs constitutional, ceremonial and community functions at the state level. (Sydney PCG photo)
