FAHM Celebration in Chicago Honors Outstanding Fil-Am Seniors

CHICAGO 22 October 2018 – In conjunction with the celebration of the Filipino-American History Month (FAHM) last October all throughout the United States, the Philippine-American Cultural Foundation Inc. (PACF) in Chicago organized a luncheon at Four Points Sheraton on 14 October 2018 in honor of FAHM outstanding seniors who were recognized for their civic leadership and pioneering spirit.
Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin of the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago delivered her remarks during the event and paid tribute to the awardees for their significant contribution to the Filipino Community not only in Chicago but also in the State of Illinois.
She also urged the Filipino community to vote in the forthcoming U.S. midterm elections as a civic duty and to reflect the strength and interests of the Filipinos in the U.S.
The outstanding seniors who are all experts in their respective fields of endeavors thanked the PACF upon receiving the plaque of appreciation individually from Consul General Jamoralin who read out the citation.
Consul General Jamoralin also received a plaque of appreciation from PACF for her presence during the important event.
PACF’s main mission is to promote Filipino culture and heritage in the U.S. by spearheading Fil-Am activities in Illinois such as the annual Piyesta Pinoy in Bolingbrook. END
