PH Embassy in Ottawa Showcases Filipino Hospitality at Int’l Food Fair
PHOTO: As the city of Ottawa ushered in the winter season, the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa joined other members of the diplomatic corps at Global Affairs Canada (GAC)’s 10th International Food Fair held on 16 November 2018.
Spearheaded by the GAC’s Workplace Charitable Campaign, the event featured different cuisines from the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. The diplomatic missions represented in Ottawa set up their respective booths for the annual fair and donated unique dishes from their home countries.
The Embassy distributed warm chicken adobo sliders (shredded chicken in vinegar, soy sauce, and spices placed in traditional pandesal buns) and pichi-pichi (mini cassava cakes rolled in shredded coconut) to around 400 GAC employees and other guests.
