PHOTO: In commemoration of the Filipino-American History Month, the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu partnered with Spyron AV Manila and the Filipino Community Center for a special screening of the documentary “Unsurrendered 2: The Hunters ROTC Guerillas” on 21 October 2018.

The documentary tells the story of young men who became guerillas during the World War II.  The Hunters ROTC became one of the most organized and effective guerilla units against the Japanese.

More than 200 guests attended the screening.  Among them was Mrs. Salome Villamarin-Calderon, 92 years old, who with her family members belonged to the Hunters ROTC Guerillas Angono Unit. (Honolulu PCG photo)
