PH Consulate in Dubai, Filipino Community Launch Dubai’s Bayanihan 2018

DUBAI 06 December 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General and the Filipino Community in Dubai and Northern Emirates launched Bayanihan 2018 on 10 November 2018.  

The event will be held on 21 December 2018 at Dubai’s World Trade Center.

Held every December, Bayanihan is an annual collaboration between the Consulate and the Community to celebrate the United Arab Emirates’ national day which falls on December 2, and the Christmas/Yuletide holidays.

In his remarks, Consul General in Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes emphasized the importance of the collaboration of the Consulate General with the Filipino Community on all events and gatherings especially as we espouse a greater and more interactive participation of the community in governance, a more people-centered approach towards foreign policy and diaspora diplomacy.

The past years have seen a greater participation in its Independence Day and Bayanihan activities. Last June, some 43,000 attended the Philippine Independence Day Celebrations held on 11 May 2018 at the World Trade Center. END
