PH Products Hit The WIC Int’l Charity Bazaar in Jakarta
PHOTO: Philippine products such as Cebu’s dried mangoes, Goldilocks polvoron, Lumban barongs, Barong Batik, and Filipino dishes were a hit at the 51st International Charity Bazaar organized by the Women’s International Club Jakarta (WIC) at the Jakarta Convention Center on 14-15 November 2018.
Madame Rosalind L. Wee, wife of Ambassador to Indonesia Leehiong T. Wee, spearheaded the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta’s participation in the charity bazaar. Fifty-three foreign embassies and 200 business enterprises in Jakarta paraticipated in this event.
WIC initiates fundraising activities to generate resources and community partnerships. The funds raised are intended to make an impact on the lives of disadvantaged people in the larger society.
The Embassy raised more than Rp10 million from the Philippine products promoted at the bazaar, which were all donated to WIC charity. (Jakarta PE photos)
