SBMA Promoted to Companies, Chambers of Commerce in Chicago
PHOTO: Officers from the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) visited the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago to promote the area as an alternative investment area in the Asia Pacific region and develop port-to-port agreements on 09 November 2018.
The Consulate, in partnership with the Federation of Philippine-American Chambers of Commerce (FPACC), organized a roundtable business meeting of SBMA with private companies, members of the business community and organizations (e.g. Chambers of Commerce), and State officials. The SBMA team is composed of Chairperson and Administrator Atty. Wilma T. Eisma with Deputy Administrator Ronnie R. Yambao and Secretary Jennifer Pantig.
Chairperson Eisma said that the current changes in Asia Pacific’s trading structure and the effects of the US-China trade issues open lots of opportunities for Philippine economic zones like the SBMA.
The SBMA administrator was also invited to receive the Chicago Filipino Asian American Hall of Fame 2018, International Award in Public Service, during the “Gala and Awards Dinner” at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois held on 10 November 2018. The award is sponsored by Chicago Philippine Reports TV and Via Times newsmagazine. (Chicago PCG photo)
