Brunei Bowlers Host 36th Southeast Asia Overseas Filipino Tournament

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN 11 December 2018 — The Filipino Bowlers’ Club (FBC) hosted the 36th Southeast Asia Overseas Filipino Bowlers’ (SEAOFB) Invitational Bowling Tournament 2018 on 17 - 18 November 2018 at the Grand Seria Bowling Centre, Kuala Belait, Brunei Darussalam.

An annual event hosted in turns by overseas Filipino bowlers’ associations in the ASEAN region, the tournament was participated in by 80 bowlers from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia and Singapore.

Chargé d’ Affaires Pete Raymond V. Delfin attended the event as the Guest of Honor and led the ceremonial roll-off to open the bowling tournament.

In his remarks, Consul Delfin commended the officers and members of the FBC for successfully bringing together Filipino bowlers from the ASEAN member countries to participate in the tournament. Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism Deputy Permanent Secretary Awang Wardi Bin Haji Mohammad Ali also attended the tournament as Special Guest.

The Embassy fully supports the activities organized by Filipino Community organizations, including sports events that promote healthy lifestyle and strengthens fellowship among the Filipino nationals. END
