PH Delegation Participates in Conference of Parties

PHOTO: The Philippines participated in the 24th edition of the international climate change conference, also referred to as the 24th Conference of Parties or COP 24, held in the city of Katowice in Poland from 02 to 04 December 2018.

Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Roy A. Cimatu, who led the delegation, also held bilateral meetings with the Chinese Minister of Ecology and Environment Li Guanje and Indian Minister of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Harsh Vardhan at the sidelines of COP24.

The talks focused on bilateral cooperation agreements and on establishing mechanisms for undertaking collaborative projects to protect the environment.

The members of the Philippine delegation were Climate Change Commission Secretary Chairman Emmanuel de Guzman, Environment Undersecretary Jonas Leones, and Ambassador to Poland Patricia Ann V. Paez. (Warsaw PE photos)
