PH Ambassador Presents Credentials to UAE Prime Minister and Vice President, Dubai Ruler
ABU DHABI 18 December 2018 – Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Hjayceelyn M. Quintana presented her letter of credence to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, on 17 November 2018 at the new Presidential Palace.
Ambassador Quintana was among 13 Ambassadors who presented their letters of credence to Sheikh Mohammed, and was the first time that the presentation of credentials was held at the newly-built Presidential Palace.
She conveyed the greetings of President Rodrigo Duterte and extended President’s wishes for Sheikh Mohammed’s well-being and good health.
The Ambassador said that President Duterte looks forward to visiting the UAE and meeting its highest leaders. She also noted the strong Philippines-UAE bilateral relations, which is founded on deep people-to-people relations.
Ambassador Quintana is the eighth Philippine Ambassador to the UAE since relations were formally established. Prior to assuming her post, she served as Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary for Middle East and African Affairs in Manila from 2016 to 2018. She was also assigned at the Philippine Embassies in Beijing, Washington, D.C., Dublin, and Muscat. END
