BRUSSELS 18 December 2018 – As part of bringing consular services closer to Filipinos in its jurisdiction, the Philippine Embassy in Brussels, in cooperation with Honorary Consul General Alain Kinsch, conducted its fourth consular outreach mission for 2018 at the Philippine Consulate General in Luxembourg on 08 December 2018.
A total of 50 Filipinos living in Luxembourg and in the nearby provinces of Saarland and Rheinland Pfalz in Germany availed themselves of the Embassy’s services, which included passport renewal, legalization of documents, application for reacquisition of Philippine citizenship, civil status registration, and NBI fingerprinting services. Forty-one passports were also released to applicants living in these areas.
Consul Charles Andrei P. Macaspac led the consular team and officiated the oath-taking ceremony for two dual citizenship applicants from Luxembourg.
The clients expressed their appreciation to the Embassy’s consular team for reaching out to them and for helping them save time, money and effort of having to travel all the way to Brussels for consular services.
Luxembourg is a landlocked country in northwestern Europe surrounded by Belgium, France, and Germany. Despite its small landmass and small population, Luxembourg is the second-wealthiest country in the world when measured on a gross domestic product (GDP) per capita basis.
Majority of the over 500 Filipinos living in Luxembourg are professionals working as auditors, accountants, information technology experts and lawyers in reputable financial institutions. They are highly respected for their skills and excellent work ethics. END
