Jiangxi Province Pursues Closer Bilateral Relations with PH

XIAMEN 26 December 2018 — Consul General in Xiamen Julius Caesar A. Flores received a visit of an official delegation from Jiangxi Province, led by Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) Director General Zhao Hui. She was accompanied by FAO Protocol Division Director Zhou Dan on 09 November 2018.

Director General Zhao highlighted the importance attached by Jiangxi Province to the friendly and collaborative relations with the Philippines, and underscored the need to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture, economic development and tourism.

Jiangxi Vice Governor Wu Zhongqiong visited the Philippines in December 2018 to pursue more cooperation and exchanges with the Philippines’ cultural, tourism, and private sector.

Consul General Flores welcomed the visit as both timely and relevant in the light of intensification of bilateral relations between the Philippines and China as well as given the numerous opportunities for more cooperation and exchanges between the Philippines and Jiangxi Province in the areas of culture, tourism, and economic development.
