PH Embassy in Islamabad Conducts Self-defense Session
PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy in Islamabad conducted a self-defense session on 12 December 2018, as its contribution to the government’s 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women. The said activity was participated by Embassy personnel together with their families as well as outsourced employees of the Embassy.
Self-defense instructor Syed Ikram was invited for the self-defense session, while Lieutenant Colonel Charlotte Galvez of the Philippine Army provided a short speech on women empowerment and the background on the Philippine’s campaign to end violence against women and children. Lt. Col. Galvez recently completed a two-week course “United Nations Protection of Civilian Course” at the Center for International Peace and Stability in Islamabad. (Islamabad PE photo)
