10 January 2014 - The Philippine Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) that newly-promoted Philippine Honorary Consul General Moulaye Ahmed Haidara, in a historic ceremony, took his oath before Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Rafael E. Seguis on December 11, 2013, at the Honorary Consul General’s office in the Guinean capital Conakry.

 

Philippine Ambassador to Nigeria and non-resident Ambassador to Guinea Alex V. Lamadrid witnessed the oath-taking ceremony.

Undersecretary Seguis was in Guinea as head of the Philippine delegation to the 40th Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Conakry from December 9 to 11, 2013.

 

Other members of the Philippine delegation included Undersecretary Nabil A. Tan of the Office of the Executive Secretary, Undersecretary Yusuf (Joe) Lorena of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP), Ambassador Lamadrid, and Special Assistant Zoilo Velasco of the DFA. END
