Consul General Natividad Pays Courtesy Call on the New Prefetto of Milan
MILAN 08 January 2019 — The Philippines and Italy reaffirmed its commitment to strengthen bilateral relations, as Consul General to Milan Irene Susan B. Natividad paid a courtesy call on the new Prefetto of Milan, Renato Saccone, at Corso Monforte, Milan on 17 December 2018.
During the call, Consul General Natividad reaffirmed the commitment of the Philippine Consulate General in Milan to help further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, complementing the efforts of the Philippine Embassy in Rome.
Prefetto Saccone assured Consul General Natividad that the Consulate can rely on the continued cooperation of the Prefettura of Milan on matters of mutual concern.
Prefetto Saccone succeeded Dottoressa Luciana Lamorgese who moved to a new position at the Italian Ministry of Interior in October 2018.
A law graduate, the Prefetto is a career official in the Italian public service. He served as head of cabinet in the prefectures of Massa and Carrara, Florence and Milan. He also has worked on programs for refugees. Prior to his appointment as Prefetto of Milan, he served in a similar capacity in Monza and Brianza, Siena and Turin. END
