PH Embassy in Yangon Organizes Singing Workshop for Myanmar Students

YANGON 16 January 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Yangon, in cooperation with A Cappella Manila, conducted a musical workshop entitled "The Joy of Singing in an A Cappella Choir" on 15 December 2018 at the Sule Shangri-La Hotel Myanmar.
Spearheaded by A Cappella Manila Artistic Director Rodel Marcelo Bugarin, the participants learned various vocalization techniques and vocal exercises in preparation for a capella singing. The students were also taught the basics of forming and joining a choir.
The workshop was attended by 43 students from Yangon Academy, St. Mary's Home, Basic Education High School (1) Dagon, Basic Education High School (6) Botahtaung, and Bahan International Science Academy. The activity culminated with auditions of the students for the Philippine Embassy Youth Choir that will be formally organized in 2019. END
