PH Consulate in Milan Commemorates Rizal Day
PHOTO: Officers of the Philippine Consulate General in Milan, together with the Knights of Rizal in Modena and future Knights of Rizal in Milan, commemorated the 122nd anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal in a ceremony at the Consulate General’s Galleria Filipina on 28 December 2018.
Consul General to Milan Irene Susan B. Natividad delivered a message on the life and works of Dr. Rizal. A flower offering by the Consul General and Rizal Area Knight Commander of Italy Emerson Malapitan, was laid at the foot of Rizal’s bust. After a short video of “Rizal in Italy”, the ceremony culminated with a reading by Mr. Malapitan of Rizal’s famous poems, “Kundiman”, in Filipino. (Milan PCG photo)
