Final Consular Outreach for 2018 Brings the PH Consulate General in SF to Anchorage, Alaska

ANCHORAGE 23 January 2019 — To provide efficient and comfortable services to Filipino and Filipino-American in its area of jurisdiction, the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco conducted a consular outreach mission to Anchorage, Alaska, from 15 to 17 December 2018.
A total of 551 of consular services were provided, composed 385 passport applications, 38 legalization of documents, 22 civil registry, and 106 dual citizenship applications.
Representing Consul General Henry S. Bensurto, Jr. was team leader Consul Andre Peter C. Estanislao assisted by staff members of the Consulate General-Virginia T. Abad, Noel Nolasco, Ms. Baylene Jaro, Mr. Armyn Atentar and Ms. Kristine Jane G. Quiboloy.
The team also checked on the condition of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans living in Anchorage and nearby areas after the magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit Anchorage on 30 November 2018. According to the Filipino community leaders and consular service applicants, there have been no loss of life or injuries to Filipinos in the area after the quake.
The consular outreach to Anchorage, which is the 17th and final consular outreach mission for 2018, is also part of the Consulate General’s thrust and movement to Spark*Connect*Empower Filipinos and Filipino-Americans throughout the United States and beyond by bringing the services of the Consulate closer to Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in Alaska.
Filipinos and Filipino-Americans who availed of the consular services provided during the outreach expressed their appreciation to the Consulate General for the service. A consular team was also deployed to Anchorage and Juneau, Alaska in April earlier this year. END
