PH Embassy Islamabad Commemorates Rizal Day 2018
PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy in Islamabad commemorated the 122ndanniversary of martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal at the Embassy Social Hall on 31 December 2018.
The program was highlighted by singing of the Philippine National Anthem, wreath-laying before the bust of Dr. Jose Rizal, and reading in Spanish of his famous letter, “Mi Ultimo Adios (My Last Goodbye)” with translation in English and Urdu languages. Dr. Rizal’s books and relevant memorabilia were also displayed during the ceremony.
Charge d’ Affaires, a.i. Anwar M. Ito delivered his brief message on the life, works and values of Dr. Rizal. A simple Filipino breakfast was shared by the Embassy’s personnel to culminate the celebration. (Islamabad PE photo)
