PH Embassy in Manama Commemorates Rizal Day

MANAMA 31 December 2018 — The Philippine Embassy in Manama, in cooperation with the Order of the Knights of Rizal, commemorated the 122nd anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal with a flag raising and wreath-laying ceremony at the Embassy on 30 December 2018.
The flag-raising ceremony was followed by the recitation of Rizalian Oath, Code of Ethics and Pledge to the Flag by Knights of Rizal Mr. Eduardo O. Hernandez, and Mr. Lemuel C. Lapada. A floral offering was made by Ambassador to Bahrain Alfonso A. Ver and the Knights of Rizal.
Ambassador Ver delivered his inspirational message, emphasizing the importance of practising the teachings of Dr. Rizal in everyday lives. Mr. Amado Taduran and Mr. Elpidio Quietevis reminisced on the Filipino national hero’s life on the said occasion at the end of the program. END
