PH Diplomat Wins at ASEAN Golf Tournament in Myanmar

YANGON 24 January 2019 – The Philippine Embassy in Yangon, in cooperation with the ASEAN Missions in Myanmar and the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held the 2019 ASEAN Diplomatic Golf Game on 05 January 2019 at the Nay Pyi Taw City Golf Course.
The Embassy was represented by Chargé d' Affaires Stephanie Alexis A. Cruz, who won 1st Prize in the Ladies’ Category.
The game was followed by the prize-giving ceremony and luncheon at the New Aye Yar Hotel.
Myanmar Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin and Brunei Ambassador to Myanmar and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Pehin Dato Rahmani Dato Basir delivered speeches that emphasized the beauty of golf, and how the game builds camaraderie and strengthens the friendship of both the players and the countries represented.
