PH Consulate General in Milan Holds Assembly of Filipino Community Leaders of Northern Italy

MILAN 29 January 2019 — The Philippine Consulate General in Milan organized the first General Assembly of Filipino community leaders in its jurisdiction on 13 January 2019.
The event gathered 168 leaders participants representing Filipino community organizations from the eight regions that comprise the Consulate General’s jurisdiction, namely Emilia-Romagna, Friuli Venezia-Giuglia, Lombardia, Liguria, Piemonte, Trentino-Alto Aldige, Valle D’Aosta, and Veneto.
During the assembly, Consul General Irene Susan B. Natividad presented key accomplishments and initiatives of the Consulate General and its attached agencies—Philippine Overseas Labor Office-Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Social Security System, and Pag-IBIG Fund—in 2018.
The Consul General also outlined the programs for the year 2019, which include 14 mobile consular missions, the Consulate General’s Sunday opening schedule, its Likhang Pilipino series and preparations for the 2019 Independence Day celebration. END
