Azkals Footballer Shares Story with Filipino Youth of Milan

MILAN 29 January 2019 — Philippine national football team player Simone Rota’s life story was depicted in an award-winning movie “Journeyman Finds Home,” which was shown at the Philippine Consulate General in Milan on 20 January 2019.

The movie bagged the Audience Choice Award at the European Philippine International Film Festival (EPIFF) in Florence in March 2018.

Consul General Irene Susan B. Natividad welcomed those who watched the film as she acknowledged the presence of Mr. Simone’s parents and sister to the event in her welcome remarks.

After the film screening, Mr. Simone engaged members of the audience, answering questions about the time he was growing up in Italy, his family, his friends, and his love of football. END
