PH Consulate General in Los Angeles Commemorates Rizal Day
PHOTO: The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles, led by Deputy Consul General Ambrosio Brian F. Enciso III, held a simple ceremony after the flag-lowering ceremony, to commemorate the 122nd martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal at the Consulate General’s Sentro Rizal on 28 December 2018.
The program commenced with the offering of flowers to the bust of Dr. Jose Rizal and followed by a brief talk on the life and historical influence of the martyred hero by Deputy Consul General Enciso.
In his lecture, Deputy Consul General Enciso highlighted the great things that Dr. Jose Rizal did for love of country and of his fellow Filipinos, which took him down a path that led to his martyrdom and elevation to the national pantheon of Filipino heroes.
He further encouraged everyone to emulate Rizal and strive for excellence for the betterment of the community and the country. (Los Angeles PCG photos)
