PH Embassy Joins Celebrates Sinulog Festival in Montreal

PHOTO: Now on its 35th year, the Filipino Community in Montreal celebrated the Feast of Señor Santo Niño de Cebu on 20 January 2019 with a mass at Saint Kevin’s Church in Montreal, and a Sinulog celebration participated in by various Filipino Community organizations in Quebec. The occasion provided an opportunity for devotees of the Santo Niño de Cebu to celebrate and continue a Cebuano tradition.

 Approximately 200 participants joined the revelry despite a severe winter storm hitting the city. Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel Fernandez III represented the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa in the celebration. (Ottawa PE photo)
