PH Embassy Commends Filipinos at The Hague Academy of International Law Winter Session

THE HAGUE 11 February 2019 — Ambassador to the Netherlands Jaime Victor B. Ledda hosted the Filipino participants to the very first winter session of The Hague Academy of International Law at the Philippine Embassy in the Hague on 23 January 2019.
Fourteen Filipino lawyers from the private sector and government offices such as the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Office of the Solicitor General, and Commission on Election attended the winter courses on both public and private international law, which was held at the Academy Building in the Peace Palace from 07 to 25 January 2019. This group is the biggest contingent thus far since 2013.
Ambassador Ledda congratulated the participants for being selected from a wide field of applicants admitted to the courses. He encouraged them to promote greater interest and pursue continuing education in public and private international law among their colleagues and in their respective organizations.
The Philippines is one of the contributing governments to The Hague Academy. END
