New Filipino Community Association Organized in Toronto

OTTAWA 13 February 2019 — Filipinos hailing from New Lucena in Iloilo organized the New Lucena Association of Toronto to promote their shared heritage and contribute towards the development of their hometown in the province of Iloilo.
A core group led by spouses Fulton John and Eva Tabano organized the association’s inaugural event on 28 December 2018 at North York, Greater Toronto Area.
Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III from the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa and Deputy Consul General Bernadette Therese Fernandez from the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto joined more than 200 members and guests in the festivities of the newest Filipino association in Toronto.
