PH Delegation Engages at 4th PH-New Zealand Defense Talks

An eight-member Philippine delegation engaged in Philippines-New Zealand Bilateral Defense Talks hosted this year by New Zealand’s Ministry of Defense (MOD) on 30 November 2018.

The talks allowed the two countries to share the respective defense and security policies and priorities, review progress and accomplishments of deepening defense cooperation, consult on future direction of security relations, exchange perspectives on critical regional security developments, and assess the recent co-chairing of ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting-Plus Experts’ Working Group on Cyber Security. Talks on the Mutual Assistance Program (MAP) were also held at the margins.
