PH Consulate General in Milan Holds First General Assembly for Filipinos in Northern Italy

PHOTO: The Philippine Consulate General in Milan organized the first General Assembly of Filipino Community leaders in Northern Italy on 13 January 2019.

The event gathered 168 leaders representing Filipino Community organizations from the eight regions that comprise the Consulate General’s jurisdiction namely Emilia-Romagna, Friuli Venezia-Giuglia, Lombardia, Liguria, Piemonte, Trentino-Alto Aldige, Valle D’Aosta, and Veneto.

During the assembly, Consul General Irene Susan B. Natividad presented key accomplishments and initiatives of the Consulate General and its attached agencies (POLO/OWWA, SSS and Pag-ibig Fund) in 2018 as well as programs for the year 2019, which include 14 mobile consular missions, Sunday opening schedule of the Consulate General, its Likhang Pilipino series, issues of importance to Filipino Community, and preparations for the Independence Day celebration.
