PH Embassy in Paris Hosts Lunch for Foreign Ministry, ASEAN Committee in Paris

PHOTO: Ambassador to France Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro hosted Director Thierry Mathou of the Asia and Oceanian Department of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEFA) and the ASEAN Committee in Paris (ACP) Ambassadors and officials to a luncheon at the Official Residence on 06 February 2019.

Director Mathou stressed that Asia remains a top French diplomatic priority, including engaging each ASEAN country bilaterally and upgrading EU-ASEAN Relations. He said the release of MEFA’s Asian Indo-Pacific White Paper is a sign of this priority.

The ACP Ambassadors and officials expressed hope for greater French and EU engagements with the region.

The ACP Ambassadors and Director Mathou also exchanged views on other bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual concern. (Paris PE photos)
