PHOTO: In her capacity as regional Dean of the Asia-Pacific Group in Ottawa, Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia organized a seminar on protocol and policing for representatives of Asia-Pacific diplomatic missions in Ottawa, with senior officials from the Protocol Department of Global Affairs Canada and the Royal Canadian Mounted Policy (RCMP) as resource speakers.

RCMP Supt. Jim Efford and Deputy Chief of Protocol Andrea Hudson provided an overview on protocol practices for visiting heads of state/government.

Officials from Global Affairs Canada Protocol Department led by Deputy Director Stéphane Henry engage the participants in a question-and-answer session moderated by Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel Fernandez III.

RCMP Liaison Officer Heather Harding-Legault and Diplomatic Security Liaison William Guerrero respond to questions from participants after their presentations on policing.
