PH Tourism Takes Spotlight in Popular Lebanese Show

BEIRUT 16 February 2019 – Ambassador to Lebanon Bernardita L. Catalla discussed tourism in the Philippines during a live interview in the Around the World segment of MTV Alive on 30 January 2019, MTV Alive airs on MTV Lebanon and is one of country’s most watched noontime daily TV programs.

Ambassador Catalla spoke comprehensively about the main tourist attractions in the Philippines and shared with the viewers Philippines main draws in terms of beaches, heritage sites, natural destinations, shopping, food, and nightlife.

The show also aired photos of premier tourist destinations in the Philippines and tourism advertisements.

She further noted that there has been a marked increase in visa applications received by the Philippine Embassy in Beirut from Lebanese tourists since she assumed her post end of 2017 and encouraged viewers to visit the Philippines.

The interview is part of the Embassy’s vigorous promotion of tourism to the Philippines in Lebanon. END
