ISLAMABAD 16 February 2019 – To promote economic ties between the Philippines and Pakistan, Ambassador to Pakistan Daniel R. Espiritu briefed the Pakistani business community on investment and trade opportunities between the two countries at a dinner reception by Pakistan-Philippines Business Forum (PPBF) President-North Fahdel Sheikh in Lahore on 08 February 2019.

Ambassador Espiritu thanked the members of PPBF which are currently in business deals with the Philippines in different sector, such as investment in pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, bringing in famous Philippine food chains to Pakistan, joint ventures in shrimp farming, Pakistani investments in hearing aid facilities, the latter already existing in six cities of the Philippines.

The Ambassador briefed them on the potential products they can import from the Philippines such as auto parts, machinery parts, processed food, furniture, chemicals and coconut products.

He also explained the Philippine investments incentives for the foreign business community. END
