PH Consulate General in Dubai Opens Sinulog Sa Ras Al Khaimah 2019

PHOTO: The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai opened the first-ever Sinulog celebration in Ras Al Khaimah, the northernmost Emirate of the United Arab Emirates, on 01 February 2019. 

Some 1000 community members participated in the Festival, which featured Sinulog street dancing and local entertainment. 

Preceding the celebration was a Holy Mass, where Consul General to Dubai Paul Raymund P. Cortes thanked the Parish for hosting the festival, making it possible for the emirate to hold Sinulog for the first time.

Consul General Cortes also noted the importance of holding such activities that perpetuate Filipino customs and traditions, and promote these not only among young overseas Filipinos but also to other ethnicities.
