PH Embassy in Manama Participates in Bahrain Sports Day

MANAMA 19 February 2019 – Joining members of the diplomatic and consular missions accredited to Bahrain, the Philippine Embassy in Manama participated in Bahrain Sports Day event held at Bahrain Table Tennis Association (BETTA) Hall, Isa Sports City in Manama, Bahrain on 12 February 2019.

Ambassador to Bahrain Alfonso A. Ver represented the Philippine in the opening ceremonies. Activities participated in by Embassy representatives include table tennis and the walkathon.

The Bahrain Sports Day is a yearly event organized to promote public health among communities in the country by having a sport day open to all sectors of the country, to motivate people to work out and to show the culture of sport as a healthy lifestyle.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad AL Khalifa. END
