PH Embassy in Brunei Conducts First Post Arrival Orientation for 2019 in Kuala Belait

BRUNEI 19 February 2019 – As part of its empowerment program for overseas Filipinos, the Philippine Embassy in Brunei held its first Post Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for 2019 for almost 160 participants, mostly skilled workers from various companies and household service workers, in Kuala Belait on 10 February 2019.
The activity, which was in coordination with the Filipino Association in Brunei–Kuala Belait Chapter, aimed to provide updates and information on the Embassy’s services for Filipino workers.
Vice Consul Jaybee Arguillas advised the participants to personally transact with the Embassy in renewing their passports to avoid immigration problems. She also apprised the participants on the Embassy’s consular services.
Other Embassy officials and representatives of attached agencies namely Assistance-to-Nationals Officer Mark Arinquin, Labor Attaché Melissa Mendizabal, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Representative Katrina Del Valle, Pag-IBIG Representative Edna C. Peñahermoso, and Social Security System Representative Joy Ann Cabading presented their respective programs and services.
PAOS attendees expressed appreciation to the Embassy for conducting the event regularly and for providing information on its services for Filipinos in Brunei. PAOS is conducted once every quarter, particularly for household service workers. END
