ASEAN Committee in Paris Meets with French President Diplomatic Advisor, French Special Envoy to ASEAN

PHOTO: As part of the efforts of the ASEAN Committee in Paris (ACP) to promote the ASEAN in France, Ambassador to France Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, together with the all the ASEAN Ambassadors in Paris, met with French President’s Diplomatic Advisor Philippe Étienne and French Special Envoy to ASEAN Jean Baptiste Main de Boissière on 14 February 2019.

Ambassador Lazaro highlighted the significance of the event saying that the meeting was held at an opportune time when both France and ASEAN have interweaving concerns on several issues such as economic stability and regional security.

“Strengthening ties with France is an important aim of the Philippines as well as the ACP, as it paves the way for more vibrant relations and activities that promote mutual cooperation that benefit both France and the ASEAN region,” Ambassador Lazaro said. (Paris PE photo)
