Boracay Photobooth Big Hit at Nat’l Multicultural Festival in Canberra

CANBERRA 21 February 2019 – Ambassador to Australia Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega welcomed guests to the Philippines booth at the ASEAN Village during the National Multicultural Festival in Canberra on 16 February 2019.
The Philippines booth, supported by the Department of Tourism, hosted a free photo booth and distributed information brochures on traveling to the Philippines. There was also a photo wall featuring Boracay Island, one of the world’s best islands according to Conde Nast Traveler, where guests can take selfies and group photos.
Now on its 23rd year, the annual National Multicultural Festival attracts over 200,000 people. Organized by the Australian Capital Territory government, this year’s festival featured over 300 stalls, 140 food and drinks stalls, and over 150 performers in the course of three days.
The ASEAN Village was prominently set-up at Petrie Plaza at the central business district of Canberra and showcased the top travel destinations and unique products of Southeast Asia.
