PH Ambassador Meets with Dutch Municipalities Assoc Officials

The VNG officials informed the Ambassador about its cooperation with Philippine local government units (LGUs) in projects such as the Philippine-Netherlands (PH-NL) Manila Bay Sustainable Development Master Plan (MBSDMP). 

Mr. Beks and Ms Oosteven briefed Ambassador Ledda on their recent trips to the Philippines and their meetings with concerned Philippine city planning and development officers for technical assistance and expertise on all levels of intervention at the LGU level, as well as their participation in the “International Rivers Summit” in Cebu in November 2018.

Ambassador Ledda expressed appreciation for the support extended by the Dutch VNG to the country’s LGUs as key stakeholders in the MBSDMP and VNG’s other projects in the Philippines leading towards inclusive public infrastructure development and discussed several PH-NL collaborations in the field of water management.
