PH Embassy in Prague Plans with Filipino Org for 2019

PRAGUE 28 February 2019 – The Philippine Embassy in Prague hosted the first quarter Kapihan sa Embahada for Filipino Community leaders and individuals at the Embassy on 17 February 2019.

Led by Ambassador to the Czech Republic Ombra T. Jainal, the meeting was attended by Filipino Community leaders representing various organizations in Czechia including the Filipino Catholic Community (ENFiD), Iglesia ni Cristo members, European National of Filipinos in the Diaspora (ENFID-CZ), Knights of Rizal representatives, Filipino-Czech Community (FCC), youth and students, household service workers, and the My Pinoy Store and Balikbayan Cargo business enterprises based in Prague.

The meeting provided a collaborative and open space for representatives and Filipino diaspora groups to participate in planning, implementing and evaluating common projects in 2019 with the Embassy.

An Ad hoc Working Group of 7 members was formed during the meeting. FCC’s Whillsy Candelaria affirmed the Embassy’s efforts towards inclusivity and engagement with everyone and to ensure that “no one is left behind.”

The Embassy stressed the importance of having contact points of all Filipinos in the Czech Republic and noted the positive contribution of the two Filipino priests Fr. Isabelo Carloman, OSA and Fr. Imman Noel Abellana, OSA, and the Filipino Catholic community. END
