27 January 2014- Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia called on Dr. Noeleen Heyzer, United Nations Undersecretary and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) Executive Secretary to bid her farewell on January 23.

During the call, the Ambassador congratulated Dr. Heyzer for a successful leadership of UNESCAP and her commitment to fulfilling UNESCAP’s mandate. She likewise conveyed her warm wishes to Dr. Noeleen for her next assignment as the Special Adviser of the United Nations Secretary General for Timor-Leste.

Dr. Heyzer ends her tour of duty as UNESCAP Executive Secretary on January 31, 2014. END
